“Liber” is the Latin origin for book or collection of books, i.e., library.  Fitting as we are a music library, but also fitting because “liber” is the origin of “liberate”, which means setting free or open.  We are building a music library that frees great music from the overly complex and arcane business models that have prevailed in spite of their dilapidated constructs.   We are also building a full-service music distribution and administration company that provides composers and artists with fair terms and transparent reporting so that they can fully concentrate on what they do best – create great music!

Liberated Trax offers a diverse catalog of more than 40,000 tracks under four different labels.  The namesake label, Liberated Trax, includes approximately 1,400 original, wholly owned tracks.  Earlier this summer, Liberated formed a joint venture with prominent sports music library, RRHOT, to create Moxie Music Club (MMC), a custom music shop highly curated for high-profile sporting events.  In addition to producing new music under the MMC label, the JV creates a reciprocal licensing arrangement that allows Liberated to license RRHOT’s existing catalog and vice-versa.  

Liberated Trax also boasts distribution rights to two other important labels:  Pfilbryte, a large, independent catalog meticulously curated with every use case in mind, recorded with super-special attention to detail, and tastefully seasoned with the perfect sound design elements; and Beatmondo, a collection of music produced by some of the world’s best “sidemen”, whose credits include Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Bruce Springsteen, Joe Cocker, Joe Jackson, Crosby Stills & Nash, Mick Ronson, and more.
