Angie Abdon

Angie Abdon

EVP, Administration

Angie was born in the small Midwest town of Troy, Ohio amongst a small circle of musicians that would eventually become some of Nashville’s most sought-after talent.  Her dad, Charley Abdon, along with his pals and brothers, David Sloas and Jimmie Lee Sloas, were soon discovered by country music star, Margo Smith, and hired to be her show band.  The crew soon relocated their families to Music City USA and Nashville became Angie’s home when she was 9 years old.  While Jimmie would go on to become a studio sensation, Charley and David became go-to sidemen for some of the biggest country music legends of their time, including Mel McDaniel, Eddy Raven, and ultimately Tammy Wynette for close to 15 years until she passed away in 1998.

Angie’s extended family of talent deepened her love of music and led her to follow her dad into learning drums at an early age.  She spent her teenage years behind the drum kit for local bands and later attended college at Middle Tennessee State University earning a B.S. Degree in Mass Communications with emphasis in TV/Film Production.  While there, her love of rhythm and dance led her to becoming the Captain of MTSU’s official Dance Team, where she performed at football and basketball half-time shows and other University events. This experience helped eventually land her a dance role with popular CCM touring act, Bash ‘N The Code.

As a loving mother of four, Angie developed new passions that inspired her to create, co-found, and administer a newly developed community school that provided families with college prep tutoring and extracurricular activities.  The school quickly grew into a local mainstay and is still active and thriving today.

Angie continues pursuing her love for drumming as percussionist for The Remedies, one of the Southeast’s most popular cover bands.  Her travels with the band and attendance at numerous music industry events has given her broad exposure and a wide range of knowledge into the inner workings of the music business, both from the creative and administrative sides.  Her love of people, music, and determination for detail inspire her role at Liberated Trax.

Danna Hoffman

Danna Hoffman

EVP, Client Relations

At a very early age, Danna was exposed to some of the best musical talents Nashville had to offer.  Her dad, Dan Hoffman, aka “Good Guy: DJ Dan” on WKDA in Nashville, TN, was one of the top radio DJ’s in the country in the late 60’s early 70’s.   He would later transition to songwriting and producing records in Nashville with credits including “Run Woman Run” by Country legend Tammy Wynette, which reached #1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles chart.

Being immersed in Nashville’s Music Row culture deepened Danna’s love for music, the business which gave it legs, and the people who gifted it to the world.  A natural “people” person, Danna developed and nurtured connections that would land her several roles in artist relations and management.  She was a lead figure at Corlew O’Grady Management serving as A&R Representative for the Grammy Award winning Cox Family, as well as handling artist relations for Corlew’s entire roster of artists and hit songwriters, including Charlie Daniels, Jason Sellers, Deryl Dodd and more.  Both Daniels and David Corlew recognized Danna’s talents and soon elevated her to COO of Daniel's label, Blue Hat Records.

Danna is a certified life coach and loves encouraging people to unlock their true “liberated” potential.

Evan Williams

Evan Williams

Executive Producer

Evan grew up fully immersed in music and sports.  At an early age, he developed a love of sports and sports trivia that not only thrust him into active athletics, but also into hobbyist interests in sports memorabilia, video games, and live sporting events on television.  At age 10 his musical talent became apparent as he started composing short, but memorable melodies on the family piano.

By 2015, at the age of 18, Evan was heavily influenced by the soundtracks of his favorite video games and sports programming, with genres such as hip hop, EDM, trap, jazz, Lofi, and others as his main interests.  Soon after, he began to hone his love of composition into full-blown productions aimed at fulfilling the needs of his favorite visual entertainment.  Ten years later, Evan is an established composer/producer whose music is being used in regular rotation in National major league sports programming.

While his main successes have been due to his combined love of sports and music, Evan is a gifted composer and producer that has his ear close to what is hot and trending.  He currently serves as Executive Producer at Liberated Trax, with broad A&R and production responsibilities.  In addition, Evan is versed in performance and mechanical royalty collections and assists Liberated Trax in much of the royalty administration duties of the company.

Steve Carmack

Steve Carmack

EVP, Operations

Deciding to forego college for a year, Steve moved to Nashville fresh out of high school to pursue the dream of becoming a professional bassist.  Shortly afterward, Steve met a drummer named Hunter Williams and an instant, lifelong friendship was born!  Steve’s dream soon became reality as he set out on the road with Lee Ann Womack, among many other artists, playing arenas across the U.S. and around the globe.

Steve’s friendship with Hunter led him to the inner workings of the “business” side of things.  After a two-year stint at SESAC in the royalty administration department, he was asked by Tim McGraw to run his newly formed publishing company, McGraw Music.  During his tenure there, he learned “hands on” the intricate day to day dealings of writer/publisher relations.  He quickly made a name for himself as a “go-getter” and “having great ears” and after three years at McGraw was offered and he accepted the position of Nashville Creative Director with Maverick Music (Madonna’s co venture publishing company with Warner Chappell).  Later Steve combined his love of the music business with his love of travel and became Tour Manager for 10-time Grammy Award winning vocal group, Take 6, whom Quincy Jones refers to as “the baddest vocal cats on the planet”.

Steve is an Emmy award recipient and actively involved in both live performance and studio recording.  He loves providing that luscious low end on numerous Liberated Trax releases.  Steve states, “All roads lead to new intersections and I’m excited to partner with Hunter is this new venture combining all my experience, talent and relationships under one roof: Liberated Trax!!!”

Hunter Williams

Hunter Williams

Founder/Chief Content Officer

Hunter was banging on pots & pans, Tupperware, and tables from the moment his infant motor skills allowed him.  Rhythm and music were so embedded in his DNA that it seemed there were no other hobbies, creative distractions, desires to please other people, or wishes of his father to get a real job, that would get in his way of making music.  But after graduating college with a degree in Mass Communications/Recording Industry Management, he did get a real job and put his deep love for making music aside to raise a family.

In 1993, Hunter applied for and was offered a position as a document and data clerk at SESAC.  He soon found his creative instincts could be applied to making administrative processes more efficient through the thorough use of data and data management.  In 1995, he assumed management responsibilities of SESAC’s royalty distributions.  As custodian of SESAC’s performance and royalty data, Hunter became a key figure in the signing and administration of rights to catalogs that would eventually take SESAC from a $12 million acquisition to a $1 billion company when it was sold in 2013.  Hunter left that year as SVP, Strategic Development/Royalty Distribution & Research Services.

After a short break from SESAC, Hunter became the Executive Director of the PMA.  While only there 2 and ½ years, he worked diligently to ensure the PMA’s influence would be felt for decades to come by working with the NMPA to thwart efforts by major broadcasters like NBC/Universal from demanding royalty kickbacks from PMA members, launching the first Production Music Conference (PMC) in 2014, and the first Mark Awards in 2015.  In early 2015, Hunter was hired by SourceAudio and simultaneously worked there full-time while still running the PMA.  In late 2015, he resigned from the PMA and dedicated his full attention to helping promulgate several new products and services that would further benefit members of the production music community.

In 2016, Hunter realized it was time to merge his creative and business experiences into his own music library, Move Music.  He and partner, Timothy Edwards, grew that into a catalog of 10k tracks in four short years and sold to Bulletproof Bear in 2022.  He realized it was time to expound on that experience with his son, Evan, and create a new offering called Liberated Trax.  Now he is living his fullest life producing music with his family and closest friends and traveling extensively to check off his main bucket list item, i.e., visiting every U.S. National Park.
